My Biggest Pot to Date

Ok, so I was chasing on Noble and I ran up my $200 to $285 quickly. I was bullying, winning with aggression, running big bluffs one hand then making nice calls the next.
Then seats 1 and 2 got occupied my calling station morons that were cramping my style, and I went turtle. Next thing I knew I was below $250.
I sighed, and decided to get above $250 and just stop. I shouldn't be playing this anyway. Shortly afterward, I got to $255. My mouse slid to unclick the auto-post button, but I was too late. I posted the SB and was dealt KK.
I felt a little sick.

The hand history is ugly, but look at my pf-raise. I was trying to get them to fold so I could leave. It didn't work out like that.

So I finished that cash session up $30 after losing $200 at Interpoker. Like I wrote yesterday, I'm grounded from being stupid. I think my unreasonable goal is making me stupid. It's still the goal, but I'm not going to kill my BR to try to accomplish it, and it's basically out of reach anyway now.

OMG

What the fuck?
When it wants to be bad, it will fucking be bad.
I decided before going to bed, I'd play .5/1 NL HE until I got up $10.
Whoop dee shit, lofty goal

Anyway, the day was already goofy. My QQ lost to AT in a PS 20/20. That would have put me in great position, but instead I was hurting. Then my AK lost to AT with a river T and it was over.

Then I played a HU match. My turned set, was squashed by a turned flush.

OMG, something fucked up just happened, in keeping with the night. But I'll go in chronological order.

I'm talking to a friend, Hop, online and I tell him that this is a fucked up night. Then this happens.

A-hi won, but I wasn't awarded any all-in protection side pot... so why the fuck wasn't my hand folded? What the fuck?

I press on...

Edit Number 2: I lost my whole BR on Interpoker. That's the bad news. The good news is I refused to quit and made it all back at Noble and I'll be reloading $200 very soon.
I am an idiot. I won't argue that.
I'm grounded from being an idiot though.

Anyway, that $170 pot I lost is no longer my biggest pot every.
Try $436
OMG, I'm insane and I'm going to bed.

Interpoker is a tease

I really should put more money on this site or play micro stakes. I won't be playing micro stakes anytime soon.
Anyway, after my $200 fell to $75 playing limit, I decided to put it all on $.5/1 NL. My goal was to get back to $200 that night and I quickly did.
Now I decided I need to make some money today, and played .5/1 NL again. I dropped a whole buy-in. The worst hand came when I flopped two pair from the BB with KJ. The flop was KJ3 and I check-raised. Another player got all my money with a well-played 33.
Then I bought in my last $100. It dipped to $80 then rocketed to $191. But of course, I couldn't be satisfied.
So it was soon below $130.
Then came this nice hand.

As the hand was starting, the pf raiser chided someone for "playing with fire," and I decided I'd play with fire by calling the raise. Of course, i flopped the straight with an open-ended straight flush draw, and we were off.
This was one of those hands where the flop was strong enough to slow play without fear. But that would make it hard to get all of my opponent's chips. He'd opened the pot and he'd come out strong. I figured I needed to get more money in the pot before a possible scare card could hit on the turn and kill my action.
Mission accomplished.

I'm still playing, if anything exciting or devestating happens I'll make a note of it.

Bonuses are Nice

I finally cleared $100 in bonus at Interpoker. With this ridiculous goal of mine, it's much appreciated.
I had a fair day on the way to clearing it, so I was able to go ahead and withdraw $120 from Interpoker. I think I'm on pace (considering the fact I really gave myself half a month to do this).

Interpoker is having the "12 Days of Christmas" promotion right now, and today they offered $10 free for every time you're dealt pocket aces. Earlier, they did the same thing for pocket kings. I had aces twice and queens once then, but never cowboys. Of course, after midnight, I was dealt KK twice.

Today I was luckier. I've gotten rockets once already, and even made a full boat with the hand.
That means, I've won $110 free today.

I love free money.

Doing Good

Today was nice. I'min Waco, but I brought my laptop on the off-chance I'd have playing time. Adn I've played a bunch. Regretfully, I don't have my Interpoker or Noble info here, so it's just been PokerStars. That's ok, because I have an uncleared bonus there that I've not worked much on. Clearing it during December would give me 12.5% of goal right there.
Anyway, I thought I'd just fiddle around at low limit... limit.
LIG
Limit Is Gay

PokerStars limit owns me.
I can't seem to beat it. Playing 1/2, I lost around $30.

But I started play heads up matches again. I played four. 3 $20 matches and one $10 match. I also played a $20 9-handed SnG.

With 8 left, I had 500 chips.

But I had big hands at nice times and quickly got back in the game. My luck held up. Here's the last hand. it's interesting because it looks right, but it really isn't.

See, when he bet that flop I "knew" he had ace-big. How can he call? If he does, I have 11 outs.
Seems okay, but I knew he wouldn't fold. I was just impatient and thought it was ok because he should fold.
Plays like this that don't work out are one of my weak points. I have a read, make a play based on what my opponent "should" do, then kick my own ass when he doesn't cooperate.
I think I'd be a better player if I try not to be so "good".

But fuck it, I won, and I deserved to win. That guy deserved to lose for calling.

I've accomplished over 25% of my goal, cashing out $210 all told in the last few days.

"So you're telling me there's a chance?"

So the Truck...

I haven't gotten around to putting up pics.
So I figured that I should do that.
This is the truck. (I took the pictures right outside Support Kids where I work.)

Anyway, I was on the computer the other day when a goal hit me.
That's how I usually come by goals. I don't really like this one. It'll be tough because I haven't been playing, but I'll keep it in mind. Publishing here makes it a true goal, anyway.
I want to make $800 in December.
Yesterday I made the first $90, a good start.
I played 3/6 on Interpoker, got down $100 in 10 minutes then up $20 in 10 more minutes. It was ridiculous. Then I played some other limit games. Then I played 25-ound NL HE and lost a buy-in (most of it in a race).
Then I got it all back playing more limit.
At the same time I was playing a $2 NL HE MTT and finished second for a whopping $20.
It was a weird session, but I enjoyed it.

$150 Live Tourney

I played my first Dogbrown game, and it was a $150. That's the biggest buy-in tourney I've ever played.
Hosted by Adam Seyer, it was again well-run. Everything was done efficiently and professionally.
The structure was gorgeous, with 45 minute levels and blinds that didn't feel the need to double too often. We started with T5000, with 25/50 blinds.
I lasted around 7 hours, and finished 4th of 24 for $412.
It makes my wallet look fat; I like it.

The name of the game for me was survival. I was chronically short-stacked, and expected always to be out next. But then we were at the final table. Two players, including our unfortunate host, were eliminated. On the bubble I had a huge hand.
I call it my "Degree All-in Moment."
I was ridiculously short (I swear I was trying to push) and found 25% of my stack invested into the pot with the big blind. Eriv Vogelstein (Vogman42) raise in LP and the button (tight player) called. I looked down and saw T7hh.
Sweet, not that it mattered much.
"All-in," I said, and both quickly called.
I was getting like 4:1. Bad cards, good spot, and I looked like a prime bubble candidate.
Then came the flop.
First I saw a T and 7. About that time, I realized I just might triple up. Then the dealer fanned out the flop. Lo and behold, there was another 7 and I'd flopped a boat.
-Cue hopeful, victorious music -
The other six weren't happy to see my T7, but I was.
Come to think of it, I acted pretty cool about it. That's nice.

I also acted pretty cool when I lost, but I was steaming. I'd worked my stack to around T12000 and felt like I had a nice chance. Had QQ stood up to AQ, I already would have been in the final 3.
With AA UTG, I made it 2400. The LAG BB called and we were off to the flop.
T82, I bet 3K and he check-raised all-in.
I insta-called and he turned over 52dd.
I wasn't surprised.
The 5 on the turn didn't surprose me either, and I heard myself say "nice hand" as soon as it hit.
The river was a blank, and I was done.
