Stuff and Things

I want 1000 TLBs this month, but I'm 9 short after making the TLBs in two tourneys last night.
I'll have to be clutch.

I missed the money in the $3 NL HE MTT :(
But was able to take 22nd in the $20+2. I could feel another final table, but got so card dead that I couldn't really steal. It was unfortunate.

Today I hade a succesful round of 4-tabling $12+1s, so I withdrew $50 to pay for a VCR I had to buy yesterday. So fun when poker directly pays for life.

Now I'm trying $35+3s for the third time. My first two attempts went 0-1-3 (one second three OTMs). So this has been a losing proposition, but only because of bad luck. I'm hoping to do this hardcore during the summer. We'll see.

EDIT: I won two of them and made a nice profit.

Another final table at PS

I struck again, but this time it doesn't feel quite as good. I finsihed better for more dough, but I really wanted to get higher. I wanted to win.
I finished 6th for $722 this time.
Of course that put me well over $1K and I cashed out $500. That's going to be nice.
Once again I managed to go out with Ax to a big pair. QQ this time. it folded to me in the SB. I had 90,000 with 6000,12000 blinds. I auto-pushed and the BB was only to happy to call me down. At this rate I should win one of those lopsided races at a final table within a few months, right?

I lost a big hand with AA early after being re-raised all-in by KTs. He made his flush.

I played a turbo SnG with iamastripper from pscrew yesterday. It was a $6.50 and I sucked. I think he ended up winning the thing. I know he finished ITM. Actually he took me out when I made a really loose call against him with QJo.

Miscellaneous

Just a few odds and ends.
It is interesting to note that in last night's $20 I was able to make the money without a single race.
Seeing as how I had less than 1000 chips after the break that's pretty nice. It takes some of the stress out.

Also, I played in the $1 MTT at the same time as the $20. As a matter of fact, for the first 20 minutes, I had them confused. Luckily I didn't play different based on the buy-in.
I TLB bubbled in the $1 with these incredible stats....

Here I was at the break...

Your current position is 345 out of 829 not bad

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 48 hands and saw flop:
- 4 out of 6 times while in big blind (66%)
- 1 out of 6 times while in small blind (16%)
- 3 out of 36 times in other positions (8%)
- a total of 8 out of 48 (16%)plenty of flops

Pots won at showdown - 1 of 1 (100%)
Pots won without showdown - 0

Yep, I'd won one pot. I quadrupled up in that pot.
And I finished with this...

You finished in 322nd place (eliminated at hand #1575591769).

102 hands played and saw flop:
- 2 times out of 12 while in small blind (16%)
- 8 times out of 12 while in big blind (66%)
- 3 times out of 78 in other positions (3%)
- a total of 13 times out of 102 (12%) not especially tight

Pots won at showdown - 1 out of 3 (33%) lost a small showdow, and then lost the final hand. Got all in on the flop with a pair bigger than my caller's. He hit one of his 5 outs on the turn.
Pots won without showdown - 3 not very many at all

weird stats. TLBs would have been nice.

Oh and I withdrew $500 from RV to put on Bodog. I left some on RV, but not much. We'll see what happens.

What do you think? I think this is ok...
But I've decided I have one big problem with it. Even though I had gotten short, I was feeling very good, clicking on all cylinders.
Because of that, I'm regretting my decision to play this hand balls out like I did.
Live and learn I guess.

On the bright side, if I continue to play like I have been, I will make another final table.
I now feel like I am capable of winning a PS MTT.

You finished in 67th place (eliminated at hand #1575823030).

182 hands played and saw flop:
- 2 times out of 21 while in small blind (9%)
- 8 times out of 21 while in big blind (38%)
- 10 times out of 140 in other positions (7%)
- a total of 20 times out of 182 (10%)

Pots won at showdown - 3 out of 4 (75%)
Pots won without showdown - 17

Only showdown I lost was the last one.

The Late PS $20+2

I had a fair finish in this torunament tonight. I finished 23rd for $84. Ended up losing a big race, but I made the right play, no worries.

It was an up and down day, and after trying to 4-table $35+3 SnGs, I actually ended up down on the day. I'll try it again with the 35s real soon. I just had bad luck all day.

Showtime25 also made the money, just like when I made the final table. It was fun; I'll have to do it again some time.

FIAB Win

I won a WPTFan Fish in a Barrel private tournament Monday night. It had 39 entries and was good for about $160. The win put me above $1K on PS.
Earlier in the day I experimented with 4-tabling SnGs. That went well, and I plan on doing it regularly.

Today I made the final table of the X-Pack, but went out in 8th. 5 spots paid, so that sucked. I went out with an overpair to a nutflush draw with over cards. The guy rivered his flush.
He played the hand fine, but remarked "gg" on the turn when his draw missed. Of course he rivered the flush, and I went off on him.
IMO, you don't say "gg" when you have a million outs, especially when practically all of the other guy's chips are on the table. Losing that hand left me with 87 chips. I could not recover.
I thought this chat was priceless.

theeeclone: bo has had some bac luck

BurntOrnge [observer]: gg guys

theeeclone: bad

rjs162: he won the fiab last night, how is that bad luck hmm, seems unnecessary, especially seeing as how I'd gotten a guy with TT all-in against my AA and he nailed a T on the flop a few hands before.

Tumraa [observer]: maybe he used skill? Yay, Tumraa to the rescue. He earned points for that comment.

I still hate Royal Vegas Poker right now. They are determined to take my money. I can't seem to make money on two sites at once.

BLEH

I haven't posted in a while, and I bet you can guess why.
Yep, I'm on a BAD run at RV. I don't think having a goal hurt me, but it did make me feel like not even trying once I screwed it up.

I made the money in another PS MTT. This one was a $10+1 NL HE. I finished 41st of 997 when I 'went for it' with two rags. Considering my opponents cards, the play was nice. But I don't think it was correct.

Dumm dee dumm dumm

Despite my dismal $1 day Sunday I'm on track still. Yesterday I jumped $34 and today $41.

I played the X Pack on Stars today. That's the limited entry private tourney offered by Al Terego. 22 entered and I ended up taking second. the last hand sucked. I overplayed ducks and got called by 3s. The play that got me chips also got me a wild image. Otherwise I would have won that hand. But you can't win them all. The second place finish got me $66.

Right now I have around $2000 online. Cashing out each week is going to be annoying. I can already tell.

Dutch Boyd

Dutch Boyd was subjected to my final table excitement, quite on accident. I deleted his SN, just in case he doesn't want everyone having it.
Maybe he doen't mind. I can not remembe how I got it. Check out his blog maybe.

SPECOPS85: Who is this?
xxxxxx: Dutch Boyd Who is this?
SPECOPS85: Oh, my name is Ryan. I'm not sure how I got your SN. I read yur blog, so I guess that's where I got it. I only sort of remeber getting it.
xxxxxx: Awesome wish you the best of luck brother
SPECOPS85: Dutch Boyd was not the answer I expected at all, lol.
xxxxxx: :-D
SPECOPS85: I won' bother you any more than this, but b/c I thought you were someone I know, I was going to brag (This won't carry much weight with you, but I'll do it anyway)
SPECOPS85: I got my first MTT final table tonight on Stars. a $20+2, and finished $7th for $530.
xxxxxx: Lol Ok buddy IM going to get going got to sleep talkto you soon
xxxxxx: THATS AWESOME
xxxxxx: Congradulations and good luck with playing
SPECOPS85: TY,

There was abit of brush off vibe in there, but it's cool. I'd brush me off too.
I came off exactly as I feel. It's cool.

Poker Stars Final Table or Damn, I Sucked at RV Today

I barely posted a profit at RV today. Pretty ridiculous consideing how much I played. On the bright side, I've been so over the $30 mark the first couple days, I can handle a pathetic day.

I deposited $100 at Interpoker. Bonus whoring, ya know? I ran that up $65 today. If I can profit there while I clear the bonus I'll be pleased as punch.

More bright sides...
I played a $10+1 SnG on Stars today (after whittling my BR down to $250.) That put me at $283 ish... Awesome.
Then Showtime talked me into playing a $20+2. I'm such an idiot.
But it worked out.
I was short the whole time, but I kept chugging.

303 hands played and saw flop:
- 7 times out of 39 while in small blind (17%)
- 11 times out of 38 while in big blind (28%)
- 15 times out of 226 in other positions (6%)
- a total of 33 times out of 303 (10%)

Pots won at showdown - 10 out of 15 (66%)
Pots won without showdown - 30

Pretty tight, eh? Really the main problem was a lack of cards. And I did let go of AQ to single raises early. In all, I dumped it 3 times without putting in any more than I had to. I know that I would have won a nice pot at least one of those times, but it's ok.

By the way, I made the final table. Yeah, that's pretty cool. I finished 7th for $530. That's definitely my biggest win.

hand histories... I'll post some. I had some dandies.

Apr. 2nd

Second day. by about 12 p.m. I'm up $78.
I got a bit of a head start EARLY this morning.
As a matter of fact, I'd hit the mark before 3 in the a.m.
I'm probably not done yet today; I'll keep you posted.
I won a $96 hand with AA.
The sucker called off all but $3 of his big stack with JJ on a Q-hi board. An $8 pot bet on the flop, and then an over-bet push on the turn.
If I was up against good players, my AA would have been toast (considering the call). But with these calling stations, I'm willing to take my chances and get full value out of hands like that one.

$30 a Day Keeps the Cricketeers Away

So $30 a day on RV is now the plan.
I hope to cash out $210 every 7 days and put it in my savings account. Eventually, I could buy a car...

April Fools Day
The campaign started out on the right foot. I'm up over $70 today.
I won a $40 pot in DB styly with J4s when I turned a flush.
Also, in one hand with KJs, I flopped an open-ended draw. I bet pot, and got two callers. The turn gave me a flush draw, so I bet pot again, this time $5. I got two callers, unfortunaly.
But then an A on the river gave me the nuts. I threw out an $11 value bet and got called down. Fun times.
